What is the dress code for the Royal Albert Hall?

I've won tickets to a concert and never been before...it's on Saturday mid-day. I read on their webste that there's no dress code, BUT if anyone's been can you please tell me what kind of clothes people wore?

It really depends on the type of function. There is no set dress code for entering the building.

I went to see John Mayer and wore shirt and trousers but that was because I went straight from work. Others went in jeans and t shirts.

If it were an opera, then you might find a smarter dress code was expected.

If your really unsure, call the ticket office and ask.

For an afternoon show smart casual is OK but they would not kick you out if you were not even smart or casual. These days dress for theatres etc is very informal so just be comfortable in what your do wear and try not to look like a hooligan etc.

There isn't a dress code. It really depends on what concert it is. Just kind of tell by the name... Royal Gala Concert- DRESSY!! Ozzy Osborne- you get the idea!!

You must wear a tie.

Nothing else, just a tie.

Just dress sensibly and smart.   No-one will worry or check.
