Do you mean the drill you take on the first day where you get your lifejacket and everyone goes to their "muster station?" If so, yes, you have to do it on a Carnival Ship. Otherwise, I'm not sure what you mean by peanut drill.....

It is called the Muster drill. all the ship lines are required by law to perform this drill before leaving port. It is a safety drill for the passengers. you are told where to go in case of emergency(like the ship sinking) each person will report to his or her muster station, that is where your assigned life boat is located.  you must know how to put on your life jacket and where your station is. that is why they have the drill.

It is a requirement on all ships and is called the mustard station, not the peanut drill. Everyone on a cruise is required to take this drill. It teaches you about what to do in case of an emergency. They teach you about your life vest too. It takes about 30 minutes of your time to do.

It's called "muster" and yes, every cruise ship must do this drill within a certain perieod of time (12 hours, I think) . It is also mandatory that everyone go. It only takes about 20 minutes at most, but it's important. You can't hide out in your room, either, because they do search rooms to make sure everyone is in attendance. Makes for a very crowded deck, reminscent of the Titanic.

I am not sure what it is called, but if you are talking about the drill where you learn about how to escape the cruiseship, then yes you do practice the drill on Carnival Cruise Ships*

The "lifeboat drill" is a US Coastguard requirement that all ships  must exercise within 24 hours of embarkation.

All passengers are required to return to their staterooms, put on their life jackets, and report to their assigned "muster station." (Muster, not mustard)

Upon arrival at the muster station, crew members will check your names off their list to verify your attendance. A safety / 'in case of emergency'  announcement will be made by a member of the crew and the ships emergency signal will be sounded.

Following the drill, you simply return  your life jackets to your stateroom and continue enjoying your cruise.
