  1. The official drinking age in Jamaica is 18.

  2. The official drinking age in Jamaica is 18, but nobody really cares. Once you dont look TOO young and you drink responsibly, the bartenders will serve you. Get drunk or giddy with your drinking habits and you will be BANNED from being even near the bar for the rest of your stay. This could even apply to a person who is ABOVE legal drinking age.

Technically speaking, larger hotels are legally bound not just by Jamaican laws. A U.S. based hotel chain can be sued IN THE USA for a bartender's violation of Jamaican drinking laws, if it caused harm to anyone. Once a customer proves to be a problem, the hotel becomes very cautious.

  3. well the resorts in jamaica dont really check for I.D. so anyone can drink
