  1. The drinking age is 21.

  2. The drinking age is 21. The cruise lines have to enforce USA laws.

  3. The legal drinking age on ALL cruise lines is age 21 and over.  AND, it does not matter whether you are in international waters, whether you are docked in a foreign port, or that you sailed from a port in Europe or South America.  Its 21 all over and the cruise lines do enforce the rule.  The ONLY exception to this rule is if a person under the age of 21 is cruising with a parent the parent can if he/she wants sign a waiver that allows the minor to have beer and/or wine.  Otherwise when each person under the legal drinking age boards ship his/her cruise card that is use as the room key and charge card for everything on ship contains a restriction that prohibits that person from purchasing alcoholic beverages.

  4. Best thing to do is check with your particular cruise line. Each offers a little bit different policy, but in general the drinking age on a cruise line is the same as in the U.S. 21.

    Must be 21 to drink:

    Carnival

Celebrity and Royal Caribbean (except cruises sailing from European and South American countries with lower drinking ages, and with the concent of a parent)

    Disney

Costa (except cruises leaving from non-U.S. ports)

Princess (except for the Sea Princess)

    Different drinking policies:

    Cunard is 18, I believe

Crystal is 21 if you are within 3 miles of a U.S. port and while in port and also for any hard liquors, but beer and wine is 18 for the rest of the time.

NCL will serve alcohol to guests 18 and older if the parent signs a concent form, except for hard liquor, cruises to Alaska and Hawaii you have to be 21.

  5. sorry i have to disagree with some people...... not on ALL  cruises the drinking age is 21.... in most countries the drinking age is 18, cruises leaving from here in Australia like p and o and princess, 18 and over is the drinking age. there is no problem for 18+'s to drink or go on a cruise by themselves. so if your leaving from the USA you have no hope.... lol.... but if you come down under not a problem at all....... but if your 19 i would look at going to another country...
