You have to be 14 to drive a scooter, 16 for a car. THere's a restriction of being able to drive with more than 1 person, for a while, when you start driving, it's only a temporary liscence... here, in New-Brunswick, if you take a driver's course, you have to hold your temporary licence 4 months, during that time you can only drive with an adult who holds a class 5 licence (you get a class 5 about 2 years after you've completed your temporary licence). If you decide not to take the driving course, you hold your temporary licence for 12 months and then get a class 7 licence... (Yeah, kinda complicated).

So, overall: You can legally drive at 16 in Canada, and there'S nothing about driving people under the age of 25, really.

Driver licencing standards are set by each Province, and while they are all very similar, they are not necessarily identical in every Province, or all across Canada.

A minimum age of 16 is broadly applicable and  a driver licence issued in any  Province is legal in every other Province.

For example, you could legally drive in any Province if you have a Manitoba driving permit, even though you are 15.
