  1. To most golfers an outstanding driving range would consist of theses things: Multiple pins that look like golf holes, good grass with large hitting areas, a club cleaning station, accurate yardages, and over 300 yards.

A normal course would consist of: flag sticks in random locations, medium hitting areas, accurate distances, and ok grass.

A poor range would be signs that tell you the distances but often inaccurate. Often on mats, and when on grass small hitting areas with little grass left.

  2. Outstanding--several different targets that look like flags, with good yardage markers.

    Normal--marks at 100, 150, 200, 250

    Sucks--a bunch of grass.

  3. What is outstanding is that you get to practice and have a little fun. Normal is markers to tell you the yardages. The part that sucks is that your not on the golf course and you now it is more work than fun.
