  1. Between 10-11 weeks.

However, please recondsider cropping them at all. It's incredibly painful to the puppies, and, because it's customary to crop a pit bulls ears before he goes into the pit, makes them look like fighting dogs, perpetuating negative stereotypes of the breed. We have enough of the world against us, we don't need more people campaigning to eradicate the breed.

Because of the humidity that builds up under the bandages, it's hard to keep the puppy from scratching at them, which can lead to infection.  (It's hard to find a vet to preform this operation nowadays, as well.)

Please recondisider if it's worth all that.

  2. Please do not attempt this surgery on your own. It is illegal, and only licensed vets can perform the operation.

Talk to your vet about the age at which they choose to crop ears. Usually it is early on in the dog's life.

  3. I don't recommend any mutilations (cropping, docking) but it should be very very early in their life.
