What is the easiest and best way to get from Dusseldorf to Cologne?

Time is a big issue. We need details of time between train station and Cologne airport, if that is the best way.

Take the train

Germany's Deutsche Bahn website to see timetables-

from: Dusseldorf Hbf

to:   Cologne

and to get to Cologne(=Köln)/Bonn airport -

from: Köln Hbf or Dusseldorf Hbf

to:   Köln/Bonn Flughafen

The price of tickets are not much and can be purchased from the station.  Hbf=Hauptbahnhof which is the main train station.

"Regionalbahn Express" or RE from Duesseldorf Hbf to Koeln Hbf. It may or may not stop in Leverkusen on the way. It takes approximately 25 minutes. From there transfer to the a "Regionalbahn" or RB going to Flughafen Koeln-Bonn.

Or, if money isn't an issue, just take an ICE or IC train from Duesseldorf that stops at Cologne-Bonn airport without a transfer. There ought to be a few per day.
