  1. The bus is defintely the way to go.  If you are then connecting further into Venice (ie near the Piazza San Marco or the Rialto, take a Vaparetto, not a water taxi.  The Vaparetto is much cheaper.  note that they do charge extra for luggage.

  2. We traveled from Venice to the Treviso airport earlier this month. The Treviso airport is really small, there are only two gates, so you shouldn't have any trouble getting out of the airport and onto the bus (I think it's bus #3), which stops right outside the airport (see http://www.trevisoairport.it/?lan=en for more info). It's about a five minute bus ride to the Treviso train station, and from there you can catch a train right to Venezia Santa Lucia, Venice's main train station (see http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html for train schedules and fare information). Trains are frequent (it seems like at least one every hour) and the trip takes about 30-40 minutes.

Alternatively, there is a bus that goes directly from the Treviso airport to Piazzale Roma in Venice. See http://europeforvisitors.com/venice/arti... for info.

If you arrive in Treviso hungry, or are flying out of Treviso at the end of your trip, the little bar across the street has decent food and prices.

    Buon viaggio!

  3. all of the anwers above prove to be correct..the bus to the train.you'll be there in less than an hour...if you can   sleep in treviso downtown and catch the train to venice(half an hoour ride) you will save on the food and lodging... venice is VERY VERY  EXPENSIVE

  4. Any local bus or the one that hooks up with Ryanair flights.  Takes just under 35 minutes and  drops you across from the train station.   Don't take a water bus, cross the bridge and enjoy every step of the way...!

  5. from treviso airport you can take a city bus to the treviso train station where about every 20 minutes a train leaves for VENEZIA SANTA LUCIA. the ticket should cost about 2.05 euros and it takes less than 20 minutes.

  6. I could be wrong, but if you're talking about the treviso/venice airport in treviso (Advertised on ryanair), it's going to be an hour to an hour and a half away from venice because it's not even in Venice. I recommend flying into Venice's Marco Polo airport, (code is VCE). From there you can get to a train station and ride from Mestre to St. Lucia. Much quicker, and you're in Venice and not way north of the city.

  7. Take the bus. I lived in Vicenza Italy for three years and found that the bus is cheapest (and easiest) for short trips. The schedules are easy to figure out and there were always english speaking people that were happy to help me find the right bus. I never trusted the taxis, the drivers were dishonest and always drove the long way.
