I am a student who will be attending Brooklyn College in the fall, and I hear Williamsburg is a place the kids seem to like, but I'm concerned about the commute time and how to navigate the subway/bus system of brooklyn. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Well, unless there were major changes made to the routes, the B49 runs right past Brooklyn College, and the B44 will let you off within walking distance on the far side of the campus near Flatbush and Nostrand Aves. (which also happens to be the last stop on the IRT #2 train). I don't know how long it will be in travel time, but you'll definitely shave time off your trip if you can grab the train at Franklin Ave @ Eastern Parkway, or at President Street @ Nostrand Ave.

  2. You should check out Trip123's transit trip planner as it plans a trip from any origin address in the NYC metro area to a destination address with arrival and leave times.  Good luck in school!
