  1. Are you shipping a bike you already have or looking to buy a new one and have it shipped. She could go to the local bike shop and get one there,  that way she will have the correct size and the bike will assembled and adjusted.

  2. amtrak is good for city-to-city bike shipment

last i checked REI would disassemble, pack, ship, reassemble from store to store at a very good rate.

  3. Go to your local bike shop and have them pack it up in a bike box (they generally charge about $30 for this service). Some shops will even ship it through their UPS account and pass that cost on to you which makes it even easier than dragging the packed box to a UPS or FedEx store. It's possible you can contact a bike shop where your daughter is and have it shipped directly to them and have them re-assemble it so it's ready for her - obviously there would be a service charge to that as well.

  4. Have her ride it there.  What an adventure!

  5. ups and fed ex have bike packages.  you have to disasm it some, but you should be able to ship it.  if your daughter can't assemble it, she may have to have a local shop do it.  as far as i know, no one will take a fully assembled bike.  unless there is some small carrier or something.

  6. Buy online (at someplace like Amazon) and have it mailed directly to her.
