Depends on what youre into, if your into tuners id say a civic, eclipse, etc. Now if youre into old skools i would say a caprice,impala,regal,lesabre,etc.

like stan said its the Honda civic... why do you think there isn't epidemic in the race world with honda civics... definitely not because of the looks.... honda parts are the cheapest car parts to buy on the market. they are also the easiest... plus if you are working on something and you're not really sure there are so many honda forums where you can get help or auto shops where a lot of people with hondas hang out... i used to be in the honda crowd (integra ls vtec, prelude h22 vtec) but i decided i wanted more muscle in my car but i couldn't afford muscle parts so i went with a truck which are easy after the hondas and now my s10 torches all those civic rookies
