I want to breed pinhead crickets for my green anole, as they are getting expensive. I only need like 10 of them every day. What is needed and how do I do it? Thanks.

  1. you want a dark area to keep them. dont use regular water cause they tend to drowned. you can buy at most petstores a type of blue or yellow gel made by flukers to use instead of water. you can also buy food for them to "gutload them" so they will be vitamin enriched for your lizards. then some sand so they can insert the ovipositers(long spear like thing at back end.) and lay their eggs.

  2. I will also be trying to breed crickets very soon, I found some of these sites helpful.

Hope this helps, and good luck.

  3. There isn't really any "easy" way to breed crickets by the time you got everything going and were producing enough crickets to keep a steady supply of pinheads your anole will be big enough for larger crickets.

Honestly I think that if your anole is eating 10 a day he is most likly big enough for larger crickets
