What is the easiest way to get a cat to take his pills?

He is coming home from the vets today and they said before he has been one of the hardest cats to give pills to they have ever seen. So im getting prepared!

I will always crush the pill up and put it in tuna fish something with a strong smell so the kitten does not detect the pill.  good luck!

Animals can sniff out the pill, so if you try to hide it in food, you will find your smartypants pet has eaten all the food around the pill and left the pill for you to trash.  The way I have always given my cats pills are to hold them in my lap, take my thumb and middle finger and hold the jaws open.  Then I put the pill back as far in the mouth as I can.  If you get it far enough back, your cat will not be able to cough it up and will have no choice but to swallow it.  That's how the vets always told me to do it.

i use to have a similar problem with a dog who would not take his pills, so i would hide it, in a twinkie or some kind of snack, the little sh*t ate around it a couple times but more often than not he would eat it

I usually melt the pill with a tablespoon of water, and then give him the water.

And if he still push me, I usually put the melted pill in a drops (Like the one that looks like the eye drops thingy).

Direct - open his jaws by firmly pressing in on the sides of his mouth, toss the pill all the way back into his throat, hold his mouth closed and stroke his throat till he swallows

Indirect - Crush and press into a small amount of cream cheese or tuna

grab him by the scruff...open mouth...put pill in back of mouth...hold mouth closed and blow on the nose...makes them swallow...sounds kinda harsh but it works

i would try putting it in food or even crushing it up in food, or if your willing to crush it until its powder and mix it in his drink

Try crushing the pill first then hiding iy in a small amount of his favourite food or in some dry biscuits........x
