I will be staying near the Corso Buenos Aires and am wondering how far the Duomo and The Last Supper are (walking distance etc) or should I take the metro? What else is worth seeing there?

  1. Milan is a sprawling metropolis, but most of its attractions are concentrated in its centre. Its hub is the Duomo, a fantastic Gothic confection topped by the Maddonina (our little Madonna), Milan's protectress. Not far away is La Scala, one of the world's great opera houses.

  2. Corso B. Aires is at a walking distance to Duomo, it can take around 15 minutes to walk. 'Last Supper' is on Corso Vercelli (inside the chiesa/church Santa Maria della Grazie), which is a little long distance.

The best way to travel around in Milano is (my view) by tram, in case you won't go very outside the city. To go to see 'Last Supper', you need to take tram number 16. You can take it from Via Torino (very close to Duomo).

In case you want to travel by Metro, there're a couple of metro stations on Corso B. Aires. You can easily find the directions on the maps attached to walls. Only be careful to take the right line, as there're 3 major metro lines in Milano which are red, green and yellow. To go to Duomo from BA, you need to take the red or yellow line.

  3. Take the metro. If you're into arts, Brera museum is worth seeing and Sant'Ambrogio church is quite interesting.
