  1. Quite simple.

Take the RER B (train) at Gare du Nord, (way to "St Remy les Chevreuses"). At Anthony station, leave the RER and take the shuttle (OrlyVal) to reach Orly Sud (south) and Orly ouest (west).

More info (schedule, price,...) here : http://www.ratp.fr... switch to english and click on "finding your way"

  2. Typically I would take the RER B (direction to Denfert-Rochereau. This will take about 10 minutes. Then take the OrlyBus which is clearly marked outside the metro/RER station. The Orly bus takes about 30 minutes to get Orly airport.

The last OrlyBus leaves at about 11:20. The RER will be open at this hour. You should be OK with your bagage in the evening, as Paris is relatively safe and their will be few enough people to  pass with your lugage
