What is the easiest way to go from Malaga, Spain to Gibraltar?

We havee one free day in Malaga and want to go to Gibraltar - should we rent a car- bus or taxi?

I live in Gibraltar and go to Malaga quite a few times a year.  The bus is a cheap option and you don't have to worry about anything.  However, if you do prefer renting a car the route is very simple and you should have no problems whatsoever getting there.  The only thing I can advise is that if you rent a car and are planning to go into Gib with the car you may encounter very long frontier queues.
