A 10 in. box. just snap off the whole thing.

There is a tool available at auto parts stores called a "Nut Buster". You put it around the nut and crank down on it. It will split the nut and you take the clamp off. Very simple.

cutting torch, especially if they are rusted. If you dont have one- hacksaw.

Spray the tar out of them with WD 40. Be patient and let it soak for a while. You don't say which nuts/bolts your talking about, but if it's the clamps, just cut them off. If it's the header studs, try to get them off with the proper wrench, not some stupid adjustable one. It's just hard work and you have to keep going and not give up. I would suggest eye protection. There's nothing macho about getting a piece of metal or rust flying into your eye and damaging it.
