What is the easiest way to teach engilsh?

Question

I want to teach my mom english, she knows a few basic sentences, but for the most part she knows very little.

I ask two questions,

1. What method should I teach her in?

2. What materials should I use to teach her?

* I want to teach her quickly as I only have 3 months before I have to go back to school *

I would suggest that you start by inserting some English words in your normal speaking. Say an English sentence in a context where she knows what you are saying such as, "Please pass the salt."  Using English in context with help her construct meaning.  Use English around her as much as possible. Of course, help her out, but try to immerse her as much as possible in the language.

I think the fastest way is to teach her the basics, like in elementary.  Teach her some words, what they mean, and how to use them.  People don't all of a sudden become an 8th grade English level type of person instantly.  Once you teach her the basics, she can slowly build her way up.  Help every now and then.

Materials don't have to be too expensive, can maybe use elementary books, or anything that doesn't too hard of words.
