  1. Argentina is a mixed system. There is strong presence of both. For example, during the 90s most public entities were privatized (water, gas, public transport), clearly the presence of laissez-faire ideals. On the other hand, in the past few years, the government (through the central bank) has actively controlled the currency, using their reserves- strong sign of government intervention.

    Though it is neither extreme, Argentina's economic system fluctuates with the government: going from neoclassical with Menem in the 90s to a more government-involved system more recently.
