  1. Many target organs, including but not limited to the male reproductive organs depend on the interaction of this hormone with its specific receptor.  If there's an absence or deficiency in this hormone or there is an insensitivity at the site of end organs which depend on the regulatory mechanisms of testosterone, there are numerous direct and indirect consequences beyond the scope of a simple explanation.  Moreover there is a derangement of Negative Feedback Inhibition on the HPA axis, which may pose a problem.  Adrogens also play a vital role in the maturation of bones, e.g. ossification of physes (bony end plates) and/or apophyseal equivalents.

  2. Such a body has a complete female appearance: b*****s, under-skin fat, wide pelvis, woman voice.  The disorder is usually discovered in puberty, when such a person, who is genetically a male, but looks as a girl, has no menstruation...

    Signs are:

v****a present but no cervix or uterus

    Normal female breast development

Testes in the inguinal canal, labia, or abdomen

    Inguinal hernia with palpable gonad

Testosterone levels -- in the male range

XY Karyotyping -- the presence of one X and one Y s*x chromosome indicates male gender

Luteinizing hormone (LH) levels -- high

Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels -- normal

The disorder is the lack of testosterone receptors on the all body cells once called testicular feminization. More types exist:
