What is the effect of lead, mercury, cadmium, and other non- beneficial metals on aquatic plants?

I'm specifically needing help on the symptoms and effects of lead poisoning, mercury poisoning, and cadmium poisoning on aquatic plants.

Any other heavy metals or even radioactive metals which is toxic to plants are also welcome.

  1. They all have deleterious effect on the aquatic plants .

    More ever these metals are accumulated in their bodies and enter the food chain and end in the bodies of the aquatic animals .

    Thus the animals also suffer from the deleterious effects of these metals .

    Radioactive metals are the worst offenders.
