We'll find out soon enough...Seriously, humans are finally able to plan our eco-system on a macro level.  It is a huge task, some people criticise it as a fool's errand.  But we will see whether what we have doing in the past is really that bad.

Habitats lacking in diversity.  Build up of parasites, species low on the food chain.  Build up of pollution.  Demographic graphs skewed to the very young. These are the signs of problems in the eco-system.
