  1. Each US university will have their own requirements for admission.  However, in general, you will need to take the GRE (www.ets.org/gre) General Test and possibly a GRE Subject test too.  Also, if your from a country where English is not the primary language, you will need to take the TOEFL test (www.ets.org/toefl).  For your applications to the univerisities, you'll need to fill out your application (usually online) and submit your college transcripts (translated to English if applicable) and two to three letters of recommendation from former professors or employers.  Then you'll need to write a statement of purpose, which outlines your study/research interests, and a personal statement, in which you talk about how your academic interests tie into your professional goals.
