What is the energy consumed by lighting, per year, in America.?

Different numbers say different things but looks like anywhere from 300 kWh to 3000 kWh per capita, every year (putting it around 100 billion kWh to 1000 billion kWh). I have attached a couple of links - you can figure out which number you want to trust. I would trust the 100 billion kWh per year number - seems about right (that's around 1 kWh per person, per day, say 2x100 watts bulbs continously running for 5 hours).
