What is the energy cycle in the biosphere?

i have an environmental geography test tomorrow and i missed a lecture. I was wondering if anyone could briefly or in depth describe what the energy cycle in the biosphere is.. ThankS!!

  1. the right term is- enery 'flow' and nutrient 'cycle'. energy flow is refer to energy 'movement and loss' throughout the trophic level. the basic concept is thermodynamic law 1 and 2. the energy input are from solar. in nutrient cycle, it is biogeochemical cycle such as water cycle, nitrogen cycle, etc... which matter are changed from one to another form- organic or in organic.
