Question:

What is the entrance bar at a subway called?

You go through it and once you do it rotates into a new metal bar. And you have to put in a subway card to get through it to ride the trains and all that. You see it at the entrance of Disneyland, too. Does anyone know the name of that because right now it is annoyinng me.

  4. Turnstyle.some folks call it a security bar or post but traditionally it"s called a turnstyle, I know because I just used about a hundred of them in Manhattan and a few close proximities.

    Turnstile (including Orchard Beach Bus Terminal in Bronx)

    Auto-Fare Gate (Only accesibble station for Reduce Fare MetroCard users only)

    HEET (High Entrance/Exit Turnstile)
