What is the enviroment around Nigeria Cammeron and Ghana?

Describe the enviorment around these countries. like if its hot or cold the type of plants and animals and geography.

I was in the southeastern part of Nigeria, near Port Harcourt and about 100-200 miles from Cameroon.  I never saw any land that wasn't heavily influenced by human use.  If people weren't there, I guess it would be transition zone between rain forest and savannah.  

During our summer months (Northern hemisphere), there is a lot of rain.  During our winter months is the dry season.  People grow cassava and harvest the nuts from palm trees.  Where I was, it was pretty flat.  There are some mountainous areas in eastern Cameroon, and some hilly areas further east in southeastern Nigeria.

The people were nice but the governments are corrupt.

A simple answer would be that its very tropical all year around since these countries are located just about 5 degrees north of the equator. I have been to Ghana two times.
