What is the environmental cost of producing Wheelie Bins?

I was reading this article and wondered the CO2 cost of producing and distributing Wheelie Bins - has this been taken into account when calculating the end to end cost of recycling our rubbish?

seems they are only made in Germany.

so they are not very green if you look at transport costs.
