  1. O3 o zone is made up of 3 oxygen particles

  2. I cant do subscript so _ indicates subscript

    3  O_2 <=> 2  O_3

    but more accurately

    O_2 are dissociated by ultraviolet light -> 2  0

    O_2 + UV -> 2 0

    then the atomic oxygen react with oxygen molecules

    2  0 + 20_2 <-> 2O_3

    I cant be fagged to find the ASCI code for the reversible reaction symbol, so <-> will have to do

  3. you need a catalyst in the equation so it should be...

    O_2 + UV photon --> O + O

    O + O_2 + M --> O_3 + M

    It is the need for another particle (M) that dictates why ozone doesn;t form higher in the atmosphere.

    It is the need for UV photons to dissociate O_2 that tells you why it doesn;t form lower...

  4. 3O2  > 2O3
