What is the equivalent in Australia for Hot Sauce in America?

My recipe calls for hot sauce and I am not sure what is the equivalent here in Australia

try tobasco.... do you have that there? not sure what else...

tobasco comes in a bottle - any pepper sauce will work......maybe even some red pepper flakes??

June, chances are you don't have Tabasco let alone some of the other brands and Sweet Chili Sauce won't do.

Make your own Tabasco by taking 50ml tasty vinegar, 1 tsp cayenne, 1/2 tsp sugar and 1/2 tsp kosher salt. Dissolve by shaking in covered jar.

I believe this will work!
