  1. Microsoft Word for the Mac.  Yes, there actually is one, and its word count is pretty similar to that on the Windows version.

    Hope that helps.

  2. You can get Microsoft Office for Mac or Sun/Java is pushing OpenOffice big time right now. I just set up a separate computer to test it. I want to see how close it can get because I think $400 is too much to pay for an Office Suite when you consider the number of them sold.

Add to that that in typical MS fashion, MS has rearranged and renamed the features that it now require retraining the user.

Extra - I know the features in Office 2007 are fantastic an I run it on my computer because as a support person I need to learn it. But the key is haw many people use these all features when the only thing they need is a basic word processor? We have to keep up to the latest simply because we can't fully read the documents from others that use it if we don't.

Most of my customers still use Office XP and get along fine.

  3. You can use Word on a Mac.

  4. NeoOffice and Microsoft Word.

NeoOffice is the equivalent of OpenOffice (PC equiv. of Word.) And MS Word is the same om the Mac

  5. Good news for you my friend. There's Microsoft Office for Mac! The latest version is Microsoft Office for Mac 2008. It includes all the features from Microsoft Office 2007 for PC plus more. Here's links below for more product info.
