  1. Too complicated for me.  Good luck!!!!!!!

  2. On a hull designed for general use, where the hp is within 80% or so of the maximum rated hp, pretty much any correctly hung and propped outboard over between 60 and 100hp or so will top out at 32 to 38mph -- a really well tuned and matched boat/motor combo will get 40 to 45 or so.  100hp & up, maybe 40 to 50mph.  30 to 50hp probably  25 or 26 to 30mph.

175 to 250hp on a performance hull (like a pad-v bass boat), 60 to 70mph.  250 to 300hp on a specialty hull (bullet, allison) could be 80 or 90mph or more.

  3. Hmmmmmm ......  I had a 65 HP Outboard on a 14' ski boat and it would go about 40 mph ... had  the same motor on our houseboat and it was good for about 10 mph .... soooooo ... a 65 hp outboard is the equivalent of 10 to 40 mph ...  take your choice ..
