  1. Based on History channel faire, Chinese anchors have been found, Viking settlements, and Aztecs spin off groups like the anastazi all seem to have been in america prior to columbus.

  2. Very sparse for definite contact.

    I see no reason why Vikings and Phoenicians could not have reached America but if they did apart from the confirmed ARTIFACTS left by Viking settlers and visitors people have been arguing for ages about certain inscriptions and petroglyphs.

    Problem is a lot of them were found in the 19th century and dug up and taken away from their original context.

    The occasional coin is not good evidence for more than a passing visit.

    Now if someone found a settlement site or signs of a camp ...

    Ignore most of 1421 if you've read that. The book gets off at to a good start but then loses the plot and trial of possible proofs due to the authors lack of understanding of linguistics and genetics. There is no such thing as "chinese" genes nor is it valid to change Wyoming to WYO MING .

    There probably were visits apart from the Vikings but the items cited as artifacts need better testing and documentation.

    Finally some of the items claimed as having overseas origins could have been made by Amerinds? We have only in the last couple of decades come to realise how advanced some cultures were and how much was destroyed by disease and conquest and the tendency of certain settlers to presume all Amerinds were savages or of early anthropologists to abuse confidences granted  leading to oral histories being lost or not completed cos informants died or refused to share more information.

  3. check  the links;

  4. presumably you also mean besides the native americans, the mayan's the aztec, the inca etc etc etc.

    there are mummies that are not native, they seem to have characteristics of Europeans and they are very old, thousands of years old. they seem to indicate that Europeans might have been in america before anyone else.

  5. Bush. He is as neanderthal as they get.

  6. There is much specualtion from a variety of perspectives regarding who or what may have visited the Americas in the Pre-Columbian era. You will need to use your own discernment regarding which therioes seem mere fanciful thinking and which have some factually supporting data. Also you must necessarily cautiously examine to some extent the funding sources, affilations and motives of the proponets of the various theories to sort out ones which appear valid from ones which are simply pseudoscience or worse.

    Due to space constraints, I am providing a number of documents pertaining to your question in the sources section below.
