What is the exact freq in Hz of British Deltic locomotive air horns ?

I drive a semi truck here in the USA, I used to work for British Rail in the 1970's.

I want to mount deltic air horns on my truck , i have 120 psi available,i looked at "trentinstruments" website in uk but dont know which type of horns to buy,they have wide selection and differing tones. many thanks for your help.

  1. The Deltic locomotives usually sounded D# (or E Flat - frequency 311Hz) and G# (or A Flat - frequency 415Hz) notes separately - the Trent Instruments KS 1 is ok for the D#, but they do not seem to have a G# available in any of their horn series.

    If you could get hold of a K5LA Nathan locomotive horn in the USA the number 1 and 3A bells would suit your purpose!
