  1. STANFORD UNIVERSITY owns 8,183 acres (33.1 km2) which makes it the largest university campus in the world, in terms of contiguous area.  Moscow State University, which is built vertically and has a large floor area, is the largest university, but occupies a smaller piece of land. Berry College occupies 28,000 acres (110 km²) of contiguous land, and Paul Smith's College occupies 14,200 acres (57 km2) of land in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, but neither is a university.  Duke University occupies 8,709 acres (35.2 km²), but they are not contiguous.  The United States Air Force Academy has a contiguous 18,000 acres (73 km²) at its disposal, but it is not a university.  Dartmouth College, with a large land grant, owns more than 50,000 acres (200 km²), but only 269 of those are part of the campus.

  2. The largest is Monash Uni. in Clayton.  Near Melbourne, Australia.

The campus covers nearly 2 Sq. KM.    When first built it was around 1.1. Km.   New chem. labs. have been added, plus additional sports facilities.   Planning permission is being sought for the Worlds largest experimentation unit.

It takes a long time for permission to be granted - but it is on the books for perusal.

I do hope the above helps.

  3. 26  acres.. and  60 sq meters
