    You will not be able to see any of it.  The total eclipse happens between 5:30 a.m. and 7:20 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time, over Siberia and central China.  Toronto lies on the wrong side of the world.

    You could see a little of the partial eclipse if you went to Quebec City, and if you were in Newfoundland 40% of the sun would be covered.

    The next total solar eclipse in the Toronto area will be April 8th, 2024.  I say "Toronto area" because this eclipse misses the central city, but can be seen in suburban areas.  On the afternoon of April 8, 2024 you could move into the path of a total eclipse if you drove to Cobourg or Burlington, but the line of totality misses downtown Toronto by 5 miles.  In the city, it would not get dark, but in the suburbs it does!
