What is the exchange rate for dollars to pecos?

I am going to Cancun on 7/31-8/3, will i need pecos? If so where would I get the best exchange rate?

Basically think of a dollar as 10 pesos. But check out www.xe.com for up to the minute conversions because the actual exchange rate changes all the time. You can use dollars in Mexico but it would work out better for you to exchange it for pesos. That way you'll get a little more for your money. Have fun! :)

The banks give you the best exchange rates, although sometimes there might be a transaction fee to change money. If so, change as much money possible to avoid this fee each and every time. I do know that changing currency at hotels gives you a poor exchange rate. The present rate is approximately 10 Mexican pesos for every US dollar.

If possible, you may want to change some money before you leave the states. The rate shouldn't fluctuate much. As of this time in fact, the Mexican peso is doing a little better against the dollar but that could change.

Used the ATM they give u the best rate which is 1 dolar for 10 pesos
