Executive Order Number 210 calls on strengthening the use of English as a medium of teaching in our educational system. The main objective , as stated,  is to develop the English aptitude, competence and proficiency of Filipino students so that they are able to shape up to the expectations for the emerging job opportunities. Whereas English is the main medium, Filipino/Tagalog is still the mode of teaching for Pilipino and Araling Panlipunan. In line with this objective, teachers and educators are likewise evaluated and geared up to handle the challenge of strengthening the English proficiency of our youth.

Personally, I think it is a good and noble order if taken by heart. While a lot of our youth speak better English, the other half are plagued by bad grammar and horrible pronunciation. We do need to brush up with our English skills. Whether we like it or not, English will remain a universal language, one that most people in the globe use. Of course, a large proportion of our education comes from our teachers. It's a good step to properly train and educate our teachers so that they in turn can pass on valuable the knowledge to the students.
