  1. You might get better answers in a category other than agriculture.

  2. The internal conflict in "The Lady or the Tiger" lies within the half barbaric half civilized heart and soul of the beautiful, young, and very much in love princess. She held within her hands the power to save her young lover's life by granting him eternal happiness with another, more beautiful than herself. She could give her lover, whom she could never possess herself, to the hand of a woman whom she hated, or see him die an instant and horrible death at the mercy of the tiger. This decision would cause a conflict within any heart. The external conflict in the story is two fold, first the king put this power in the hands of the daughter, whom he loved, to start with. The second, and most important external conflict was the fate of the young man himself. Mr Stockton choose to leave this decision to me (or you). As the story came to an end as I read it, the young man was rendered into hamburger meat instantly by the terrible tiger. How did the story end as you read it?
