i had four teeth pulled on wednesday and have luckily experienced very little discomfort. however, even though i promised myself i wouldnt, i looked at the holes where my teeth used to be, and i definitely didnt like what i saw. I hope im wrng, but i think i saw bone! And i dont think im supposed to be able to see that. its also a purple-ish color...shouldnt i see a blood clot or something? i dont think i completely followed the procedures i was supposed to the first two days- i didnt keep gauze on it for too long and i didnt use the rinse as many times as i was supposed to. is what i saw normal or do you think im developing dry socket? like i said i havent had any pain so i really hope it isnt that

  1. The purple is the clotting blood. If you think you see bone it is probably the new tooth that is supposed to fill in the hole.

No pain is the biggest sign your doing great. Keep rinsing lightly to get rid of food build up and next thing ya know you'll have new teeth.

    Good luck;)
