There are several national festivals in Chile.  Some of the notable ones are:

May 21 - Glorias Navales (celebration of the naval vistory at the Battle of Iquique.

June 29 - San Pablo y San Pablo (Saint Peter and St Paul Day)

September 18 - Fiestas Patrias.  This is the biggest holiday and national festival...Chilean Independence Day

September 19 - Armed Forces Day

October 12 - Columbus Day ( Dia de la Raza)

November 1 - All Saints Day (Dia de Todos Santos)

Because of two national holidays Sep 18 and Sep 19 occurring within one week, this is the time of most festivities throughout the country.

Hello!

Actually there are several festivals. (“F. Del Huaso de Olmué”, “F. de La Serena”, etc.)

But the most popular, without doubts, is El Festival de Viña del Mar.

This one had artists like Franz Ferdinand, Faith No More, Eros Ramazzotti; and in the past, The Police, KC, Air Supply, Richard Marx, etc.

This year (in february), are invited Bryan Adams and Tom Jones, for example.

Come a lot of other singers and band from other latin countries, and from Chile.
