What is the fare between London HTH Airport and Birmingham?

It's a complicated answer.  

First, there are two main ways to get from London Heathrow to Central London.  These are:

The Heathrow Express which costs £13.50 single and goes to Paddington station.

London Underground - Piccadilly Line which costs about £4 for a singel journey (depends on time of travel but that's about the most it will cost).  You get the best fares by using an Oyster card but would have to pay a deposit for it.

Then you need to decide which Birmingham station you want.  There is Birmingham New Street, Birmingham International and Birmingham Moor Street.  Birmingham New Street is the one you want if you want to go the centre of Birmingham.

Birminghan New Street and Birmingham International trains both depart from London Euston.  Virgin and Silverlink both go to Birmingham and Silverlink is generally cheaper (and you can't use the tickets on both services so you need to decide which one to use).  The fare should be just over £20.

If you want to go to Birmingham Moor Street then those trains go from London Marylebone and are run by Chilterns trains.  Again it will be about £20.

As complicated as all that sounds, if money is a factor then  of the options above take the Piccadilly line into London and then the easiest Birmingham station to go to is Birmingham New Street - using Silverlink rather than Virgin.  You're looking at it costing somewhere around £25-30, depending on time of travel.
