What is the fastes possible way to read a tectbook for an exam?

ive heard most of the information can be skipped what is the best way to get the most important stuff out of it?

  1. for one...study the book lol...you really don't want to miss anything..but who has time for that?

    yes...look at the headlines and eye the page... if you get the whole thing...or remember learning about is (very well) then skip it...it you kinda remember or don't at all..try to look  at your notes or just study the page :D

    look at charts and graphs.

    take note of words that are BOLD or underlined.

  3. In highschool I talked to a lot of my teachers about proper ways to take notes, especially for college. Most of the time you do want to remember those headlines, the sub topics, and all the information bold and underlined. Vocabulary is always important. Remember dates and important people, and try to remember anything you think is important. Another thing you should do, is go back over assignments for the section, note which questions were asked and what your teacher focused on, you will often find the SAME EXACT questions in tests! Crazy right? ha good luck :)
