What is the fastest 2mile run ever ran?

Im a Cross Country runner and i have been getting a 12 minute 2 mile latley and i am 13 and i was wondering how far away i am from the fastes 2mile run ever.

Your time is impressive though specially considering your age.  I never timed myself then, but in high school I used to run a mile in 5:07.  I actually did it several times and kept getting exactly 5:07.  Later in the Army in my 20's, they do the 2 mile run as part of their test and my best time in my peak condition was 11:02 and I was 6'1, 174 pounds.  So you will soon be better than I ever was.  Now days I run a 6:40 mile, maybe I could do better, but I haven't in a really long time.  I do a marathon in 4 hours if I push it.

A little trivia, did you know the first man to break the 4 minute mile invented the treadmill to help him train for it?
