What is the fastest 'driving route' from Maple Ridge, BC to Surrey, BC?

I presently live in Winnipeg.....but plan on working and living out here. From what I see.....I have only one option. I follow Lougheed Highway to the Coquitlam Centre. Then turn left as Lougheed continues along into Burnaby. But if I stay in the left hand lane.....then I can access Highway 1 East.....which then will take me over the Port Mann bridge right into Surrey (Guildford Centre.) I've tried using the Mary Hill Bypass.....but I've had no luck at all. I have to use the back end of United Boulevard to backtrack onto #1.....and that's out of the question. So is using the Albion Ferry Service.....I will have NONE of that! (lol)

I know Maple Ridge, Coquitlam, Burnaby, and Surrey pretty well.....but have never found that 'perfect' route. Can someone help to solve this for me? Thanks.
