  4. Cheetah

  5. A cheetah can run 100 km per hour.

  10. The peregrine falcon (while in a dive, it can reach something like 250 mph).

***edit: oopsie-daisy.  At least we know who isn't the fastest typist on land sea or yahoo answers.

  11. the cheeta. it run over 40 miles an hour.

  12. I've always heard that the fastest animal (not counting humans) was the Peregrine Falcon while diving. They can  exceed 200 mph with their body's aerodynamics and gravity assisted flight speed as they overtake their prey from an extreme angle. They've even evolved adaptations to protect their breathing and eyesight from the air pressure at that kind of speed.

  13. The peregrine falcon is the fastest animal in altogether, but it reaches speed of 140mph when diving down in the air. The fastest on land is a cheetah, running cross country at speeds of up to 70mph, and the fastest in the sea is a swordfish, which is almost as fast as a cheetah, at 60mph. All these facts i have researched, but the swordfish may not be 100%corrects, but it is simple enough to search on a search engine!

  14. South American tree sloth - they have been known to break the sound barrier when jumping between trees (over 700mph).
