hi guys i have bet with a friend of mine for 100$ i have said its cheetah he said its ostrich so please tell me who is right.

  1. The fastest running "land" animal is the Cheetah, attaining  speeds of approximately 60 MPH.

    The fastest animal under the water is the Sailfish, reaching speeds upwards of 30 to 40 MPH.

    The fastest animal on earth is the Peregrine Falcon, which can dive at 250 MPH.

    Fastest running insect is the Cockroach.


  2. It all depends on the distance. Cheetahs are fast for short sistances. Then they collapse. You could run one down, not that I recommend you do so.

    Over a distance of three miles, no animal can outrun a saluki, one of the sight-hounds.
