What is the fastest but safest way to to do the splits?

  1. Some people are physically incapable of ever doing the splits even if their extremely flexible. So don't force it. The safest way I'd say is to do it facing forward. And make sure you've stretched before you do it.  


  2. Don't force yourself to do the splits because sometimes different people and different peoples bodies aren't flexible enough and you could hurt yourself very badly.

    If you want to try the splits try side splits first.

    Spread your legs apart and hold your hands in front of you.

    Slowly and gently ease yourself down with your hands and keep going until it hurts.

    Hold it there for a while so you get used to it.

    Try this over and over until you get the hang of it.

    Front splits are different.

    Kneel on one knee and slowly straighten your back leg out.

    Straighten your front leg out after you've straighted your back leg out.

    Hold it there for a while and do this over and over.

    Eventually you will get used to it and be able to go down faster and faster, but don't push yourself to far.
