What is the fastest way to get a copy of W-2's?

I am applying for a Loan and they want to see my W-2's from 07-08. I can't find them. I have called IRS but that got me no where. I need them ASAP.

You need to download form 4506-T (www.irs.gov)  and request the wage information for earning from January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2007.  The wage information for 2008 you have  not received yet you will receive them by January 31 .2009.

You can also visit your local IRS office to obtain your wage information, make sure to take a photo ID>

Just curious what exactly did you ask the CSR when you called IRS,

Because they would have sent you the wage information.

your employer has a copy. But if it is a mortgage company they can execute a 4506T and get a copy of your tax returns line item pretty quick. Or you can go by the IRS office yourself and execute it and get it in 24 hours.
